PACE OF PLAY POLICY

The group pace-of-play policy will be enforced.

In any given tournament, each group must complete the front nine holes in under 2 hours and 20 minutes (three-player groups) or 2 hours and 30 minutes (four-player groups), or within 15 minutes of the group ahead. The allotted time to complete 18 holes is 4 hours and 40 minutes (three-player groups) or 5 hours (four-player groups).

In the event of non-compliance, the group will receive a warning. If the same group is still behind pace upon reaching Hole #18, each player in the group will receive a one-stroke penalty added to their score.

If, during the season, a player has been part of a group in violation of the pace-of-play policy more than three times, a one-stroke penalty will automatically be applied to that player the fourth time they are involved in a non-compliant group.

At any time during the round, a player may be timed. If it is evident that slow play is caused by a single individual, only that player may be penalized. The time reference is 40 seconds per stroke (50 seconds for the first player to play).

EVENT FORMAT

All CGC Tour events feature two divisions competing simultaneously.

TOUR Division: Gross scoring format.
CGC Division: Net scoring format with handicap.

All players’ handicap indexes will be determined 48 hours prior to the event, based on the Golf Canada Handicap Index and the CGC Tour Handicap Index.

For full details regarding the formula used to calculate the CGC Tour Handicap Index, please visit www.cgctour.ca under the Concept and Regulations section.

All CGC Tour competitions shall be governed by the Rules of Golf currently in force and approved by Golf Canada, as well as the CGC Tour Local Rules, prepared by the Head Referee and the Tour Director. These rules are available under the Information tab on each event page within the Golf Genius platform.

The CGC Tour–designated starter at each event may provide additional instructions on the day of the event.

MOTORIZED CARTS

When using a motorized cart, a player must not drive the cart beyond the position of their ball.

In the event of a first infraction, the player will receive a warning.

Each subsequent infraction will result in a two-stroke penalty.

ARRIVAL AT EVENTS

Player registration is required only at the first CGC Tour event attended by the member, for the purpose of signing legal documents and taking the official member photograph.
